Le LIGM a mis en place dès 2016 le suivi doctoral individuel prévu par l'école doctorale MSTIC.
L'objectif du suivi doctoral individuel est d'évaluer l'avancement des travaux de recherche des doctorants, ainsi que leur environnement et leurs conditions de travail. Il vise aussi à détecter le plus tôt possible d'éventuelles difficultés rencontrées par le doctorant ou la doctorante ou par les encadrants, liées à la thèse ou à des contraintes externes. Dans ce cas, on peut proposer des solutions : formation complémentaire, redéfinition du sujet de thèse, modalités d'encadrement.
Le conseil de l'école doctorale du 27 janvier 2023 a fixé conformément à l'arrêté la composition minimale du comité de suivi individuel de chaque doctorant à au moins deux membres, dont au moins une personne titulaire de la HDR et un membre extérieur à l'école doctorale MSTIC et aux établissements membres de la ComUE Paris-Est Sup.

Le conseil des CSI, que vous pouvez joindre à l'adresse csi-ligm@listes.univ-eiffel.fr, est actuellement composé de : Arnaud de Mesmay (coordinateur), Marie-Pierre Béal, Valentin Bonzom, Éric Fusy, Benjamin Perret et François-Xavier Vialard.
Pour le choix des membres du comité, la direction de thèse est invitée à envoyer une proposition de membre externe à csi-ligm@listes.univ-eiffel.fr, et en retour nous vous suggèrerons un membre interne. Le membre externe doit, dans la mesure du possible, avoir une HDR. Il ne pourra pas être rapporteur de la thèse, et ne devrait pas être trop proche de la direction de thèse (mais une ou deux collaborations par-ci par-là sont ok).
Nouveauté : Le compte-rendu du CSI est désormais effectué dans un livret, qui reste le même et est enrichi d'année en année : version française, version anglaise.
En 1ère et 2ème année, les entretiens ont lieu courant avril-mai-juin (sauf en cas d'inscription tardive en 1ère année). En 3ème année, en cas de demande de ré-inscription en 4ème année, les entretiens sont avant octobre.
L'organisation du CSI est assurée par la direction de thèse. Les entretiens sont organisés (en visio ou en présentiel) sous la forme de trois étapes distinctes :
À la suite de l'entretien, le comité de suivi individuel remplit sa partie du livret. Ensuite, le ou la doctorant·e peut y ajouter d'éventuelles remarques. Le doctorant ou la doctorante saisit les membres de son CSI dans ADUM et uploade le livret au plus tard à la réinscription.

The LIGM has been implementing individual doctoral monitoring as required by the MSTIC doctoral school since 2016.
The purpose of the individual thesis advisory committee (CSI) is to assess the progress of doctoral candidates' research, as well as their working environment and conditions. It also aims to detect as early as possible any difficulties experienced by the doctoral candidate or their supervisors, whether related to the thesis itself or to external constraints. When needed, solutions can be proposed: additional training, redefinition of the thesis topic, or changes to supervision arrangements.
The doctoral school council of 27 January 2023 established, in accordance with the relevant decree, that the minimum composition of each doctoral candidate's advisory committee is at least two members, including at least one person holding an HDR (habilitation to supervise research) and one member external to the MSTIC doctoral school and to the institutions that are members of ComUE Paris-Est Sup.

To select committee members, the thesis supervisor(s) are invited to send a proposal for an external member to csi-ligm@listes.univ-eiffel.fr, and we will in return suggest an internal member. The external member should, where possible, hold an HDR. They cannot serve as a thesis referee (rapporteur), and should not be too close to the thesis supervisors (though one or two occasional collaborations are fine).
New: The CSI report is now completed in a booklet, which stays the same throughout the thesis and is enriched year by year: French version, English version.
In the 1st and 2nd year, interviews take place during April–May–June (except in cases of late registration in the 1st year). In the 3rd year, if re-registration for a 4th year is requested, interviews must be held before October.
The CSI is organised by the thesis supervisor(s). Interviews are held (in person or via videoconference) in three distinct stages:
Following the interview, the advisory committee fills in its section of the booklet. The doctoral candidate may then add any comments, and must enter the committee members in ADUM and upload the booklet no later than re-registration.
